Terms and Conditions of Sale (T&Cs)

Last updated: 21 September 2026

These Terms and Conditions of Sale (the “Terms”) govern sales made on our sites planjapon.com, esimjp.com and esimjapon.com (the “Site”), published by Artixia, a French sole proprietorship registered under SIRET 94011294900018, whose registered office is at 18 rue Paul Bloch, 95240 Cormeilles-en-Parisis, France.

1. Purpose

These Terms set out the rights and obligations of the parties in connection with the online sale of digital products, namely eSIMs intended for use in Japan, through the Site.

2. Products

The products offered are prepaid eSIMs, delivered digitally (QR code or installation link), giving access to mobile internet in Japan. The essential characteristics of each plan (validity period, data allowance, network coverage, compatibility) are set out on its product page.

The catalogue includes fixed-duration eSIMs, bought once, and a renewable monthly subscription, whose terms are set out in article 7.

3. Orders

Any order placed on the Site constitutes acceptance of these Terms. The customer's confirmation of the order constitutes an electronic signature with the same value as a handwritten signature between the parties.

Once payment is validated, the customer receives the eSIM activation instructions by email, generally within a few minutes (up to 24 hours where manual verification is required).

4. Prices

Prices are shown inclusive of all taxes, in the currency displayed on the Site at the time of the order. The seller may change prices at any time, but products are invoiced at the price in force when the order is placed.

No delivery charge applies, as the products are delivered digitally only.

5. Payment

Payment is made online through the payment methods offered on the Site: Shopify Payments and PayPal. Payment is secure and the order is only effective once payment has been fully validated.

6. Delivery and compatibility

eSIMs are delivered electronically only, by email containing a QR code or an installation link, together with instructions.

Customers are advised to check that their device supports eSIM before buying; lists of compatible devices are published on the Site. If the device nevertheless turns out to be incompatible, the order is refunded in full, provided the eSIM has not been installed and no data has been used. The full conditions are set out in our refund policy.

7. Subscription and renewal

The Japan eSIM subscription is sold monthly, with no minimum term. It renews automatically at each monthly due date, each cycle being paid in advance, until the customer cancels.

The customer may cancel at any time from their customer account, or by writing to support@planjapon.com. Cancellation ends future charges; the cycle already paid runs to its end and is not refunded, not even in part. The full conditions are set out in our purchase options cancellation policy.

8. Right of withdrawal

Under article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for digital content supplied on an intangible medium whose performance has begun with the consumer's agreement.

By confirming their order, the customer expressly agrees to waive their right of withdrawal.

Independently of that statutory right, the seller applies a more favourable commercial commitment: an eSIM that has not been installed and not been used is refunded in full, on the conditions set out in article 6.

9. Liability

The seller cannot be held liable for incorrect installation, technical incompatibility, loss of data, or misuse of the product.

As the eSIM depends on the local carrier's network in Japan, the seller does not guarantee perfect coverage across the whole of Japanese territory.

10. Personal data

Personal data collected when ordering is used solely to process orders and, with consent, to send commercial communications.

In accordance with the French Data Protection Act, the customer has a right of access, rectification and erasure of their data, which they may exercise by emailing support@planjapon.com.

11. Customer service

For any question, complaint or support request: support@planjapon.com

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the French courts have sole jurisdiction, save where the law provides otherwise.
